Alessandro Forti, a wealthy man, was born in Sabbioneta in 1825 and died in Milan in 1892 where he arrived before 1859. He came through Verona on his way from Sabbioneta, just as his brother Israel did.
In 1893 Arch. Agostino Caravati designed a sarcophagus partially covered by a cloth and a weeping willow which was often present in the cemeteries of the romantic period.
