The sons of Baron Abram Davide Leonino upon the death of their father in 1875 commissioned architect Carlo Maciachini to plan a marble aedicule in the shape of an elevated quadriporticus under which a staircase leads to the crypt with the family tombs. The style recalls the Egyptian tombs, with lotus and papyrus flowers carved on the capitals of the columns. The banker and shopkeeper Abram Davide Leonino was born in Casale Monferrato in 1804, lived in Genoa, came to Milan after 1859 and was created baron because of charitable acts in 1864 by Vittorio Emanuele II. His full surname was Leonino Sacerdote. His son Sabino married a granddaughter of Aron Vita Finzi
